1. About us

These terms apply to workshops, courses, memberships and studio hire provided by flood and pull. ([Confirm legal name and status]), a screen printing studio in Folkestone, Kent. By making a booking you agree to these terms. If anything here is unclear, email floodandpull@gmail.com before booking.

2. Booking and payment

Bookings are made through our booking provider (BookWhen) and payments are processed securely by Stripe. Full payment is required at the time of booking unless we agree otherwise in writing. Your place is only confirmed once payment is complete and you receive a confirmation. Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable.

3. What is included

Each workshop or course listing sets out what is included, such as materials, tuition and what you take home. For studio day hire, the studio and its available equipment are included for the booked period. Consumables (paper, ink, screens, acetate, emulsion and similar) are not included in studio hire and are charged separately where appropriate. Technician support and teaching during studio hire can be arranged for an additional fee.

4. Cancellations, refunds and transfers

A common approach:] If you need to cancel a workshop or course place, we can offer a full refund or transfer if you give us at least [Confirm, e.g. 14] days' notice before the session. For cancellations with less than [Confirm, e.g. 14] days' notice we are unable to refund, but you are welcome to send someone in your place, or we may offer a transfer at our discretion. If we have to cancel or reschedule a session, you will be offered a transfer or a full refund. Studio day hire cancellations require at least [Confirm] days' notice for a refund.

5. Studio day hire

• Full-day exclusive hire is [Confirm: £200] and includes up to 4 people.
• If you plan to use the screen printing facilities, a studio induction is required beforehand so you can work safely and independently. Inductions may be charged separately.
• You are responsible for leaving the studio and equipment clean and undamaged. [Confirm whether a deposit applies and how damage is charged.]
• Please arrive and vacate within your booked times so we can prepare the studio for others.

6. Health, safety and conduct

Screen printing involves inks, chemicals and equipment. You must follow all safety guidance and staff instructions at all times. Please tell us in advance of any allergies, medical conditions or access needs so we can support you. [Confirm minimum age and whether under-18s must be accompanied.] We may ask anyone behaving unsafely or disruptively to leave without a refund.

7. Your work and intellectual property

Any artwork you create remains yours. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to print any images or designs you bring. We may photograph the studio and sessions for our own promotion; tell a member of staff if you would prefer not to appear, and we will respect that.

8. Our liability

We take reasonable care to provide a safe, well-run studio. We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Otherwise, our liability in connection with a booking is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for loss or damage to personal belongings brought to the studio.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page at the time of your booking.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales.
