Who we are
This website is operated by flood and pull. ([Confirm legal name and status, for example "Charlotte Whiston trading as flood and pull." or a limited company name and number]), a screen printing studio based in Folkestone, Kent. For the purposes of UK data protection law, flood and pull. is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at floodandpull@gmail.com.
What information we collect
We only collect what we need to run the studio and respond to you:
- Enquiry forms: your name, email address, the workshop or service you are interested in, your experience level, and anything you choose to write in a message.
- Bookings and payments: when booking and paying for a workshop or studio hire, your booking and payment are handled by our booking provider (BookWhen) and by Stripe, our payment processor. Card details are entered directly with them and are never seen or stored by us. We receive booking confirmations containing your name, contact details and what you booked.
- Email: if you email us, we keep that correspondence.
- Analytics (only with your consent): if you accept analytics cookies, we may collect anonymised information about how you use the site (such as pages visited and general location) to help us improve it.
How we use your information, and our lawful basis
- To respond to enquiries (our legitimate interest in replying to you, or taking steps to enter into a contract).
- To take and manage bookings, payments and refunds (performance of a contract with you).
- To send you studio updates, only if you have asked us to (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).
- To understand and improve how the site is used (consent, via analytics cookies).
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations (legal obligation).
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the studio, including:
- Our booking platform (BookWhen) and Stripe, for bookings and payments.
- Our email provider, for correspondence and updates.
- Our website host, [Confirm hosting provider].
- Our analytics provider, [Confirm, for example Google Analytics], only if you accept analytics cookies.
Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place as required by UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and booking records only as long as needed for the purpose we collected them, and to meet legal and accounting requirements (typically up to [Confirm retention period, for example 6 years for financial records]). We remove marketing contacts promptly when you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email floodandpull@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use them as follows:
- Essential cookies: needed for the site to work and to remember your cookie choice. These are always on.
- Analytics cookies: set only if you accept them, to measure how the site is used.
- Third-party cookies: when you use an embedded booking or payment feature, our booking provider and Stripe may set their own cookies to make that feature work securely.
No non-essential cookies are set until you accept them. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated shown above.
